Who are we ?
The International House (or IH) is a student association of Namur. Our purpose is to welcome, help, and organize activities for the Erasmus students in Namur, no matter in which academic institution they're going to.
The IH Team is composed of a Committee of around 10 people, each of them being responsible of one specific aspect of the IH (activities or treasury for example). And a group of volunteers (the external members).
Have an impact
We're making sure that the Erasmus coming to Namur for one semester (or more) all get the best experience possible.
Thanks to our presence, this life-changing stay in Belgium is even better and our Erasmus fly back home with the head full of unforgettable memories and the heart full of love for their Erasmus buddies.
Bring the world to Namur
One of our side-missions is to bring the world to Namur. We love other cultures and it is for us a pleasure to make people here discover them.
For that, we may sometimes organize some dedicated activities like, for example, a cultural dinner or lunch with dishes from another country, or parties with new concepts from the rest of the world.

The Accommodations
The Main House
The Lobby of the International House
The Main House of the IH disposes of some rooms in which you can find a bar, a study-room, a party-room and soon a Home Cinema. All those rooms are gathered under the same name : the IH Lobby.
The lobby is accessible to all residents accordingly to the conditions they receive when they move in.
The house in itself
In the Main House, each floor (except the 5th floor) has 5 bedrooms, 1 kitchen, 1 WC and 1 bathroom (with a shower). All the rooms (except on the 5th floor) comes with 1 bed (already prepared), 1 desk, 1 chair, 1 closet and 1 sink with lamp and mirror.
The 5th floor is composed of 2 studios with private shower and kitchen, and 1 common WC.
This building has an elevator and the WiFi (in addition of an Ethernet connection)
A good geographical situation
The Main House is located on the 'Rue de Bruxelles' just next to the 'Rue Grandgagnage' which is the main street of the University. Living in the Main House therefore means most of the Faculties of the University are only 1 minute away from you.
On the other hand, the Main House is only 5 minutes away from the Station, which makes it very accessible.
The South House
Spacious common areas
In opposition with the Main House in which the common areas of each floor are relatively small, the common areas of the South House offer much more space. In this building, each floor has 2 showers, 2 WC and 2 kitchens. The kitchens also have a better equipment than the ones of the Main House. The bedrooms are similar in size and in equipment to those of the Main House.
Although, the South House does not have an elevator or even the WiFi (but has Ethernet connections in all the rooms).
A good geographical situation
The South House is a bit further away from the core of the Campus compared to the Main House, but it remains netherless next to the main Amphitheater (Amphithéatre Vauban) of the University and 1 minute of walk away from the restaurant of the University (Arsenal de Namur).
It remains also relatively close to everything, the train station being at approximately 10 minutes of walk away.
Please note that the rooms of the International House are only available for the Erasmus students going to the University of Namur. Those going to another academic institution in Namur can not rent a room in the IH.
The attribution of the rooms can only be done by the International Relations Office of the University of Namur, we are not responsible of it.
